Red Wines

1. De Canal Merlot, IGT del Veneto (Italy) £11.45

The merlot grape is widely planted in Northern Italy and his excellent example has soft, attractive fruit and good balance.

2. Los Vilos Cabernet Sauvignon, Conchay Toro, Central Valley (Chile) £11.95

Juicy red and black berry fruits dominate this soft and easy going wine that has the style of a ripe Claret!

3. Rowlands Brook Shiraz/Cabernet, South Eastern Australia (Australia) £13.95

This blend has blackcurrant fruit from the Shiraz and leafy flavours from the Cabernet.

4. Syrah, VdP d'Oc, Domaine Ribaute (France) £11.25

A deliciously Syrah, with plums and damson fruit. The meaty character of Syrah is balanced with good concentration and a touch of spice on the finish

5. Franschloek Cellars Pinotage, Coastal Region (South Africa) £ 16.95

This has good jammy fruits with ripe rasberry overtones. Well-balanced it is a characterful wine with plenty of weight.

6. Tanners Claret, Bordeux (France) £ 13.95

Extremely reliable and well made claret from Bordeux. Ripe and juicy with good balance and length.

7. Brown Brothers Tarrango, Victoria (Australia) £ 13.95

Full of juicy rasberry and sweet cherry fruit flavours this is an easy going wine with a lovely balanced finish.

8. Navajas Crianza, Rioja (Spain) £14.95

Vanilla aroma and soft , jammy strawberry fruit dominate this wine which has lovely balance and a strong following from the Barcelona Football Club!

9. Lurotn Malbe, Mendoza (Argentina) £16.25

This has good black berry fruit with a hint of beef stock! Ripe fruit and soft tannins make it easy drinking.

10. Campo d'Oro Insigne Carmenere, Rapel Valley (Chile) £ 14.95

An interesting wine with good red berry fruit character, little tannin and a hint of mint.

11. R H Phillips Barrel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon, California (USA) £ 15.25

This has welkl developed ripe cassis and cherry fruit with a pleasing oaky subtleness that shows well on the finish.

12. Coriole Sangiovese, McLaren Vale (Australia) £ 17.00

This if full of ripe cherry fruit flavours so typical of this grape. The tannins are smooth and silky and there is an appealing elegance and balance about the whole.

White Wines

13. Cepage Colombard, VdP des Cotes de Gascogne, Producteurs Plaimont (France) £ 11.95

Ultra, fresh zippy white that is just off dry. Wonderful as an aperitif but good for a wide range of food too.

14. Ladera Verde Sauvignon, Central Valley (Chile) £ 12.95

A deliciously crisp Sauvignon from the Central Valley region of Chile. Aromatic and flavoursome with great character.

15. Rowlands Brook Semillon/Chardonnnay, South Eastern Australia (Australia) £ 13.95

This has fat, ripe fruit flavours with the butteriness of the Semillon balanced by the tropical fruitiness of the Chardonnay.

16.Marsanne, VdP d'Oc, Domaine des Fontaines (France) £ 12.95

An excellent full flavoured white produced by the modern, dynamic winemaker Pierre Degroote.

17.Pinot Grigio, Ca'Solare (Italy) £ 14.95

A crisp dry white wine with delicious honeyfed fruit and a lovely finish.

18.Blue White Cenin Blanc, Old Cvines, Stellenbosch (South Africa) £ 16.95

100% Chenin from old vines this has good intense fruit with peach blossom, apple and melonto the fore. On the palate is the minerally Chenin character with a lovely clean finish.

19.Brampton Unoaked Chardonnay, Coastal Region (South Africa) £ 15.95

This is a wonderfully interesting wine with aromas of melon, poached pears and peaches. Because it is not aged in oak the fruit to the fore in the mouth making it rich and full.

20.Sunnycliff Chardonnay, Victoria (Australia) £ 17.95

Ripe fruit and subtle oak in this wine from Victoria. Fresh, dry and easy to drink.

21.Churton Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2003 (New Zealand) £ 18.25

A delicious grassy, nettly, gooseberry flavoured Sauvignon, extremely well balanced and excellent value for money.

22.Chablis, Caractere, Moreau- Naudet et Fils (France) £ 16.95

This is a very true style of Chablis with a flinty, mineral character, concentrated fruit and a crisp, dry finish.

A delicious Champagne from an excellent co-operative based in the heart of the Champagne region. A complex Champagne, aged at least three years before release.
