The bar and restaurant is one of the oldest parts of the building and dates back to the 15th century.
The character of the hotel is fully reflected in the restaurant which seats up to 35 people. It is a warm intimate area on two levels, a place for a relaxing meal, business entertaining or special occasion.
We are sure the setting and food will delight our diners, who will find a regularly changing menu, offering taste to excite the palate, complement with wide selection of wines.
Occasionally, a menu attracts particular attention for the unusual combination it suggests, combinations which stir the imagination and bring attractive pictures of dishes to mind.
This is so for the Lion & Pheasant's dishes each one carefully selected.
Our elegant Oak Room provided ideal conference facilities. It is tastefully furnished to provide comfort for up to 30 people and ideal for those stimulating thoughtful discussion away from the office area, meeting and social gatherings.
Rates available with equipment provided. These include video, television, overhead and carousel projectors and flip charts.
A choice of accommodation and meal combinations are available whilst morning coffee and afternoon tea is included.
The Acorn Room is available for meetings and all conference up to 16 people. Equipment is available on request.
It has an intimate atmosphere of its own where meals, morning coffee and afternoon tea are available. Twenty-seven bedrooms each retaining the character and charm of the building. No two rooms are the same.
Many have exposed beams and original fireplaces and are well catered appointed, many having private facilities.
Each is individually heated, giving our guests full control. Tea and coffee facilities, colour television and direct dial telephones are provided in each room.
The rooms are prepared with a personal touch and, if you need them, hair dryers and irons are available at reception.
We have secure car parking facilities for guests.
